HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT IN ONE GONDOLA?

A maximum of 6 adults can fit comfortably in the gondola. A group of 7 can fit if there are small children.

IS THE SKYWHEEL FULLY ACCESSIBLE?

Yes! All of our gondolas are fully accessible with the exception of the VIP. We can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, etc.

DO YOU ALLOW PETS ON THE SKYWHEEL?

We love all of our four legged friends, but unfortunately, we only allow service animals on board.

WHEN DOES THE SKYWHEEL OPERATE?

The SkyWheel is open daily year-round at 11 am, typically only closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please check the main page for current up-to-date hours of operation, as hours are subject to change at any time.

HOW LONG ARE TICKETS GOOD FOR?

Regular tickets are good for 1 flight within 1 year from the date of purchase. Special promotional tickets vary.

WHERE CAN TICKETS BE PURCHASED?

Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth. Sorry, but we can’t offer any discounts online.

HOW LONG IS A FLIGHT?

A flight includes 4 revolutions and lasts about 10 – 15 minutes.

DO YOU SHUT DOWN FOR WEATHER?

Our operator monitors the weather closely and may close the wheel if winds are sustained above 35 miles per hour, or lightning is within a 5-mile radius of the wheel.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY EMPTY GONDOLAS, BUT YOU STILL HAVE PEOPLE IN LINE TO RIDE?

You may notice that some gondolas stay empty during a flight even though people are waiting to ride the wheel. This is because in order to operate the wheel in a safe manner it must always maintain proper balance.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT TO RIDE?

There is no weight limit per person. Each gondola can hold up to 1,300 pounds.

CAN WE REQUEST A PRIVATE GONDOLA FOR JUST OUR PARTY?

We never put strangers together in a gondola. Each time you ride it is only with your group.

WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE GONDOLAS?

The gondolas are heated and cooled to always be a comfortable temperature no matter the temperature outside.

HOW TALL IS THE SKYWHEEL?

The SkyWheel is 187 feet tall or about 20 stories.

WHEN DID THE SKYWHEEL OPEN?

The SkyWheel opened on May 20, 2011 and was the first of its kind in America.
